Caribou Mathematics is a unique worldwide online contest held six times throughout the school year (October, November, January, February, April, and May). Endorsed by the Canadian Mathematical Society, it offers contests for grade levels K/1, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12 in English, French, and Persian.
Each contest consists of multiple-choice questions to be completed online in 50 consecutive minutes. Unlike most competitions that happen once a year, Caribou's frequent schedule allows students to track their progress and improve throughout the year. Results are available the same evening, providing immediate feedback.
The first contest (October) is free for all grade levels, and the K/1 level is always free. Annual registration fees are $14.40 CAD for grades 2-4 and $24 CAD for grades 5-12. Caribou provides 250 video solutions to help students learn from their mistakes, making it as much a learning tool as a competition.
