OBMEP Mirim (Olimpiada Mirim) is the elementary school division of Brazil's famous OBMEP program, organized by IMPA (Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics). Created in 2022 for students in grades 2-5, it has grown rapidly to become one of the world's largest elementary mathematics competitions with 4.4 million participants in its third edition.
The competition consists of two phases held in schools and is free to enter for both public and private institutions. OBMEP Mirim builds on the success of the main OBMEP competition, which reaches over 18 million students in grades 6-12.
