Romania is the founding country of the International Mathematical Olympiad (1959) and maintains an exceptionally strong tradition. The Romanian Mathematical Olympiad has four rounds, and Romania also hosts the Romanian Masters of Mathematics (RMM), an elite invitational for top IMO-level students from ~20 countries.
